在墨西哥解放运动高潮中，一个神秘的美国青年加入到乔吉领导的一支掠夺队伍，与反叛的将军连续使用暴力掠夺作战枪支。当这个外国青年达到自己冷漠的目的时，乔却发现军队需要的不是所谓的武器，而是整个国家的贫穷及富人的暴行。真正的自由仅仅能用武器来换得吗？
