Nick Albanese
Nick Albanese is an Actor/Writer in Providence, Rhode Island. A son of Sicilian immigrants, he has always been interested in theatre and acting. Nick was a theatre major at Community College of Rhode Island and performed in a number of productions while he was there and also in the local Theatre scene. He has done tons of background work in many productions. His first on screen credit was in an Independent film, Stay Until Tomorrow as a Security Guard in 2004. In 2007, Nick made it on to national television by appeared in a few episodes of the Showtime series Brotherhood: Season 2 & 3, as Councilman Charlie Hacker. After being involved with TV and film for a few years and almost a decade of Stand Up Comedy, Nick wanted to return to his Theatre roots. By November of 2015 Nick debuted his One Man Play "The Last Sicilian" at Theatre 82 in Cranston RI. It became a local hit, even without too much press. This true story about his family's journey from Sicily to the North End of Providence began selling out! The Last Sicilian also won Best New Work at the 2016 Motif Theatre Awards in RI. Nick brought his One-Man Play to NYC in January of 2018 for a 2 weeks Off-Broadway run. Since the beginning of 2020, he has been writing and has completed his screenplay version of his hit One-Man Play and he also wrote a new short-film, Confronting Silvestri. He produced, directed and performed in it. Nick is hoping to get back into film and TV after his long hiatus from both.
